Karl-Anthony Towns had 40 points and 12 rebounds, Josh Hart added 30 points and 10 rebounds and the visiting New York Knicks beat the Indiana Pacers 128-115 on Tuesday night.
New York won in Indianapolis for the first time since April 2023. The Knicks lost all three road games in last season’s seven-game Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Pacers.
Towns was 14 of 23 from the field, while Hart was 12 of 16.
Three-time All-Star Pascal Siakam had 24 points for Indiana. Thomas Bryant had 18 points and nine rebounds.
RAPTORS 106, 76ERS 103 >> Scottie Barnes scored 33 points, Immanuel Quickley added 23 and visiting Toronto snapped a four-game losing streak with a victory over Philadelphia.
Gradey Dick added 17 points, including a clutch late 3-pointer. Barnes fed Ochai Agbaji for a layup with 1:32 left to put the Raptors up for good.
Joel Embiid had 27 points and 12 rebounds, but the 76ers (20-33) fell a season-worst 13 games under .500.
PISTONS 132, BULLS 92 >> Malik Beasley made seven 3-pointers and finished with 24 points and visiting Detroit built a franchise-record, 42-point halftime lead on the way to routing Chicago. The Pistons outscored the Bulls 71-29 in the first half, eclipsing the previous mark of 34 points against Chicago on March 23, 1969.
Chicago had just two players score in double figures — Matas Buzelis (12 points) and Josh Giddey (11).
LAKERS SIGN CENTER LEN >> The Los Angeles Lakers signed veteran free agent center Alex Len on Tuesday to bolster their frontcourt depth after their failed attempt to acquire Charlotte center Mark Williams.
To make room on the roster for the 31-year-old Ukrainian in his 12th NBA season, Los Angeles waived injured center Christian Wood.
Len was traded from Sacramento to Washington last week as part of the multiteam deal sending Marcus Smart to the Wizards. Washington subsequently waived Len, who played for the Wizards during the 2020-21 season.
Los Angeles traded rookie Dalton Knecht and Cam Reddish to Charlotte last week in a deal for Williams, the imposing center who has missed far more games than he has played in three NBA seasons due to injuries. The Lakers then rescinded the trade last Saturday because Williams failed his physical.
RAPTORS GIVE INGRAM $120M EXTENSION >> Brandon Ingram has a $120 million extension from the Raptors before ever playing a game for Toronto.
The recently acquired forward agreed to the deal Tuesday, less than a week after the Raptors got him from the New Orleans Pelicans.
MAVS CENTER GAFFORD OUT AT LEAST TWO WEEKS >> Mavericks center Daniel Gafford will miss at least two weeks after spraining his right knee in a loss to Sacramento, leaving the club without its top four big men after Anthony Davis’ groin injury in his Dallas debut two days earlier.
