A Sterling Heights man was arrested and charged for his alleged involvement in distributing large amounts of cocaine in Macomb County.

Kyle Derouin, 25, was taken into custody on May 16 and is charged with delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance less than 50 grams, a 20-year felony; weapons felony firearm, a two-year felony; and possession of a controlled substance. Derouin was arraigned in Sterling Heights 41A District Court and a cash surety bond was set at $25,000. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for May 30.

Dennis Lasater, 48, from Sterling Heights was also taken into custody. Lasater was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance less than 25 grams. His personal bond was set at $5,000.

A statement from the Macomb County Sheriff’s office said the Sheriff’s Enforcement Team executed a search warrant for narcotics at a Sterling Heights residence last week where Derouin was taken into custody.

Approximately 16 grams of cocaine, nine Adderall pills, $56,728 in cash, four pistols, two rifles, two shotgun, multiple boxes of ammunition and a Dodge Ram were seized at the residence.
