Seven Macomb County girls basketball teams will have a game to prepare for over the weekend.

Regina, Ford II, Cousino, Parkway Christian, Armada, Dakota and Eisenhower all won their respective district championships on Friday, March 7, advancing to next week’s regional tournaments.

Parkway Christian became the first girls team in Macomb County to wrap up their district with a title, taking down Bloomfield Hills Roeper, 55-32, on Thursday night.

Senior guard Tamerah Peterson shook off heavy pressure from Roeper to score 19 points and hand out several assists. Hope Woolman had her best game of the season, setting her new top mark with 10 points. Lena Marchesi, a sophomore, had a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds, with Bella Flora and Kelsey Smith scoring eight and seven points, respectively.

The Eagles’ defensive pressure held the Roughriders to just six points in the fourth quarter.

Parkway Christian will take on Allen Park Inter-City Baptist in the Division 4 regional semifinals on Monday, March 10 at Whitmore Lake High School. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

The Armada Tigers became back-to-back district champions with a 49-44 win over the MAC Gold’s St. Clair Saints. Senior Ashlyn Upton had one of her best nights all season, leading the way with 21 points. Valeria Ricossa had 16 points and Claire Sniesak added seven points.

The Tigers will look to keep their season alive on Monday with a rematch against the Yale Bulldogs at Croswell-Lexington High School at 7 p.m. Armada and Yale split the season series at one apiece, with Yale winning 69-62 at home on Jan. 28 and the Tigers returning the favor on their floor, 56-45, on Feb. 20.

The Eisenhower Eagles won their district championship, beating Stoney Creek 49-46, and will battle Clarkston at Lapeer on Monday at 7 p.m. Their MAC Red rival, Dakota, ended another Red team — Port Huron — with a 52-41 final.

The Cougars will face Ford at Lakeview at 7 p.m.
