Fox Sports is projecting a Super Bowl record average audience of 126 million U.S. viewers across television and streaming platforms for Philadelphia’s 40-22 victory over Kansas City on Sunday night.
The game was televised by Fox, Fox Deportes and Telemundo and streamed on Tubi as well as the NFL’s digital platforms.
Fox’s projections on Monday included Nielsen’s early numbers and streaming data from Tubi and the NFL. Updated and more complete numbers were expected today.
It would be the second straight year the Super Bowl has reached a record audience. The Chiefs’ 25-22 overtime victory over San Francisco last year averaged 123.7 million on CBS, Nickelodeon, Univision and streaming platforms.
According to Fox, the audience peaked at 135.7 million in the second quarter.
The early data projects 14.5 million watched on streaming platforms, including 13.6 million on Tubi, where the game was available for free.
The ratings also include Nielsen data from smart TVs along with cable and satellite set-top boxes.
After two straight years of close Super Bowls, Sunday’s game was decided in the first half as Philadelphia built a 24-0 lead.
This Super Bowl also had Donald Trump and Taylor Swift in attendance.
Trump was the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl, while Swift’s romance with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continues to keep the pop superstar’s fans interested in the NFL.
It was the third straight year the Super Bowl averaged more than 100 million viewers.

Cal (19-6, 7-5 ACC) dropped out of the Top 25 rankings following an 70-63 upset loss to Louisville on Thursday and a whopping 91-52 defeat to Notre Dame on Sunday. The Bears, who entered last week as the No 21-rated team, are now at No. 26.
The Fighting Irish replaced South Carolina in the second spot behind UCLA after the Gamecocks lost 66-62 to Texas over the weekend. It is Notre Dame’s best ranking since the team was No. 1 on Jan. 21, 2019. The Bruins remained the unanimous No. 1 choice of the 31-member media panel.
The Longhorns climbed to third with their victory. South Carolina dropped to fourth after seeing its 57-game conference winning streak in the regular season ended.
No. 5 LSU and No. 6 USC followed the Gamecocks, each moving up one spot after UConn lost at then-No. 19 Tennessee last week.

Sabathia to have Yankees cap on Hall plaque >> Vallejo’s CC Sabathia will have a New York Yankees logo on the cap of his Hall of Fame plaque and Billy Wagner will have the symbol of the Houston Astros when inducted on July 27.
The hall announced the decisions for all five of this year’s inductees. Ichiro Suzuki will have the cap of the Seattle Mariners, Dave Parker of Pittsburgh Pirates and Dick Allen of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Players and their families give input on the choices to the hall, which makes the final decisions.
Sabathia spent the last 11 seasons of a 19-year big league career with the Yankees (2009-19) after pitching for Cleveland (2001-08) and Milwaukee (2008).
Both Parker (1988-89) and Allen (1977) spent time with the Oakland A’s.
Reds will wear No. 14 patch to honor Rose >> Pete Rose may be on baseball’s permanently ineligible list, but the late hit king’s No. 14 will be on Cincinnati’s uniforms this year.
Cincinnati posted a photo of the patch on X with the message “14 on our side all season” and a heart emoji.
Rose, who died in September at the age of 83, played 19 of his 24 major league seasons with his hometown Reds. He finished his playing career in 1986 with a record 4,256 hits.
A Major League Baseball investigation found he wagered on the Reds to win in games from 1985-87 while playing for and managing the team, and Rose agreed in 1989 to go on the permanently ineligible list. Baseball’s Hall of Fame in 1991 adopted a rule barring people on MLB’s permanently ineligible list from the Hall ballot.
