Fiddy is all giddy when it comes to Tay-Tay’s new music.
50 Cent is hyped about Taylor Swift giving him a shoutout on her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which dropped on Friday.
The hip-hop mogul publicly shared his reaction on social media about being mentioned in the lyrics to “Ruin the Friendship.”
“@taylorswift s–t is popping right now,” he captioned an Instagram post of the album’s cover art. “She shout me out. She don’t shout you out. LOL. THIS IS FOR BIG TIMERS ONLY! Wait I’m the only shout out on the whole album.”
On the buzzy track she reflects on moments that have passed her by and regrets not having taken more risks.
“Have fun, it’s prom / Wilted corsage dangles from my wrist / Over his shoulder I catch a glimpse / And see you looking at me,” she sings in the song. “And it was not an invitation / But as the 50 Cent song played / Should’ve kissed you anyway.”
As the 50-year-old “Get Rich or Die Tryin’ ” star noted in his social media post, he’s seemingly the only living celebrity name-dropped on the 12-track opus, though Swift actually titled an entire song after Elizabeth Taylor.
Goodall’s final interview airs in Netflix docuseries
One of Dr. Jane Goodall’s final wishes has been granted by Netflix.
The streaming giant on Friday released the very first episode of its new docuseries “Famous Last Words,” starring the renowned primatologist and conservationist, who died Wednesday at age 91.
Based on a popular Danish TV format, each episode of the series will feature a wide-ranging interview with a cultural icon who agreed the conversation wouldn’t be aired until after they died.
In a preview clip released by the streamer, the famous chimpanzee expert is shown contemplating who she was over the course of her storied life.
“I would say I was somebody sent to this world to try to give people hope in dark times, because without hope, we fall into apathy and doing nothing,” she said. “In the dark times that we are living in now, if people don’t have hope we’re doomed.”
Florida trail renamed in honor of Hulk Hogan
A stretch of a waterfront trail in the Florida Gulf Coast community of Clearwater is being renamed to honor the mustachioed, headscarf-wearing wrestling giant Hulk Hogan, who called the city home and died earlier this year.
Florida residents and tourists alike will be able to memorialize “the Hulkster” by soaking up the sun along the causeway that connects Clearwater to Clearwater Beach. They’ll also be able to get some reps in at workout stations decked out in Hogan’s signature red and yellow colors, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis said Friday.
The Hulk Hogan Trail will be a 2-mile stretch of the Clearwater Memorial Causeway Trail.
