Pebble Beach

Bobby was born on August 29th,1932 and raised in Spindale, North Carolina. He was the beloved son of Arthur & Leona Sparks. He had two siblings, Walter and Betty. He joined the Navy after graduating High School and was stationed in Hawaii. He married for ten years and had two sons Bryant and Michael. After leaving the Navy he worked in administration at Pearl Harbor, then in1963 he married Freida Jolley and had ason Greg who preceded him in death. In 1971 he transferred to the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey Ca. as an administrative officer. He retired in 1995. In 1972 he volunteered for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am as amarshal and he did that for 35years. After that hetook on a new role running the new Support the Troops Tent Program at the Pro Am. He was apart of 5 US Opens at Pebble Beach, twice as the scheduling marshal. After retiring he was very involved with women's softball as an umpire and scheduler which he enjoyed very much. He had a warm smile and a great personality. He will be missed and forever cherished by those who knew him.

May he rest in peace. Services will be held on Monday April 21st 1-3pm at Mission Memorial Park -Seaside with a reception to follow 3-5:30pm at The Bayonet &Black Horse Golf Course, 1 McClure Way, Seaside, CA.
