Kim Ong passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 at the age of 93.

Kim Ong will be missed by his wife of66years, Helen, his two daughters, Susan and her husband David, and Deborah and her husband Jerald, and four grandchildren. Kim's parents had left China and settled in Malaysia some years before his birth in 1931. Growing up, Kim attended British schools including a Jesuit High School that helped himget ascholarship to Baker University inBaldwin, Kansas, where hegraduated with a BS in Physics. He then attended the University of Kansas, graduating with a Pharmacy degree and a master's degree in Radiation Biophysics. Kim worked as ahospital pharmacist at El Camino Hospital inMountain View for 39 years, before retiring in 1999. He mentored many individuals whowentonto pharmacy careers, and enjoyed keeping upwith the many innovations in his field.
