Boulder filmmakers

Fans of the groundbreaking and breathtaking “Chasing Ice,” and its later compelling companion “Chasing Coral,” can see directors Jeff Orlowski-Yang and Sarah Keo’s latest, “Chasing Time,” a meditation on Boulder-based photog James Balog’s images from his years-long project capturing pictures of melting glaciers. Art sale

Local artists are invited to share and sell their inspirations — and art lovers are encouraged to come too — during Open Wall 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, 1750 13th St., Boulder. Folk and ‘grass

Film festival

The Boulder International Film Festival long ago expanded beyond the city limits, and Sunday, the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road, Longmont, offers five screenings, beginning at 10 a.m., including a 12:15 p.m. world-premiere viewing of “Apollo I,” a new documentary about the tragedy and perseverance surrounding the early Apollo program. The Izaak Walton Nature Area, 18 S. Sunset St., Longmont, hosts the Chick Clark Kid’s Fishing Program during which kids 15 and younger who have registered will receive a free rod and reel after completing three educational sessions.
