Cal Poly Pomona plant science students invite the community to Cultivation Celebration, a free hands-on event, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at the Cal Poly Pomona Nursery and Farm Store.

The event, designed and led by students, will include workshops on companion planting, pollinator habitat and regenerative growing practices; a plant sale featuring seasonal starts, specialty crops and native plants grown by students; and tours of student-run greenhouse projects, according to a news release.

In addition, Tom Guarneri, a certified arborist and Cal Poly alumnus, will give a presentation on fruit tree care for home and community orchards.

Visitors can also check out the insect collection and apiary booth.

The Cal Poly Pomona Nursery and Farm Store is at 4102 S. University Drive, Pomona.
