Striker Sarah Farese has been scoring big goals for the Redwood High girls soccer team all season long.
Farese authored another memorable moment for the Giants, scoring into a stiff wind in the 28th minute of the MCAL girls soccer semifinal against The Branson School on Friday to lift Redwood into its sixth consecutive league title game.
“That was probably her best goal this season so I’m just so proud of her,” Redwood center back Tessa Marshall said. “She really came through there.”
No. 2 Redwood (12-2-5) — which had faced Branson in three consecutive finals, winning in 2023 — faces top-seeded Tam (13-4-5) for the title at 4 p.m. Saturday at San Rafael High with the boys final between Redwood and Archie Williams to follow. Tam secured a 2-0 win against No. 4 Marin Catholic in Friday’s other semifinal.
