Hulk Hogan springs into action to help motorist
Pro wrestling fans of a certain age know well that when things were going bad for good guys, Hulk Hogan always seemed to make the save.
Well, the Hulkster apparently made a real-life run-in Sunday, helping a teen girl to safety after she was involved in a car crash in Clearwater, Florida, that led to her vehicle flipping onto its roof.
Photos provided to TMZ show Hogan and a friend, ID’d only as Jake, popping the air bag and pulling out a 17-year-old driver who was described as being “completely rattled by the whole thing.” Hogan reportedly helped get the seat belt off the girl.
Good news is there are no reports of serious injury.
Campbell open to return to ‘Scream’ franchise
Neve Campbell’s battle with Ghostface may not be over yet.
Campbell, who originated the iconic role of Sidney Prescott in 1996’s “Scream,” says she’d be open to returning for a seventh installment of the franchise under “the right circumstances.”
Campbell appeared in four sequels since the 1996 classic but announced her departure from the popular franchise in 2022 over pay disparity.
“I made a statement several years ago, and it was the reason I didn’t do the film at the time,” she told Indiewire on the BAFTA Tea Party red carpet Saturday. “I just really felt the need to stand up and say that I don’t think I would have been treated that way if I was a man carrying a franchise for 25 years.”
In November, Spyglass, the studio that is producing “Scream VII,” announced actress Melissa Barrera would no longer be starring in the film. The decision came after Barrera made social media posts about the war between Israel and Hamas that the studio called “hate speech.” That week, actress Jenna Ortega reportedly also exited the project.
“It’s sad to me that they’re struggling at the moment,” Campbell said of the franchise Saturday. “I would hope it doesn’t fall apart,” she added.
‘Idol’s Hung bounces back from gambling addiction
Twenty years after he became a viral sensation with his “American Idol” audition, William Hung is opening up about his gambling problem.
Hung shot to fame after a “so bad is it good” performance of Ricky Martin’s hit “She Bang” in 2004 as he attempted to get on the reality competition singing show.
Now, he is telling People magazine that he developed a gambling addiction.
“I quit my job three years ago and became a professional poker player,” he told the publication. “Unfortunately I developed a gambling addiction.”
Hung said he’s doing better these days. He’s remarried and has gone back to his day job.
