


Junior Ethan Ferry had a pair of big hits to power Redwood to a 14-0 victory over Terra Linda on Thursday. Ferry homered and tripled to plate three runs and scored two more. Senior Kaelin Christman was 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for the Giants (11-6-1, 8-4 MCAL).
Giants ace Matthew Knauer struck out 10 batters and held the Trojans (3-12, 0-10) to two hits through five innings for the win.
• Marin Catholic shut down a late surge by San Rafael for a 3-1 victory on Thursday. Wildcats pitchers Cooper Benjamin and Carson Davis combined to strike out seven batters and held the Bulldogs (9-10, 6-6 MCAL) to four hits. At the plate, Benjamin and Davis each had a base hit and an RBI. Junior Cooper Mitchell was 2-for-3 with a double for Marin Catholic (9-7, 6-6). San Rafael’s Mikey Giannino broke up the shutout as he crossed the plate in the sixth inning. San Rafael senior Aedan Bardoul rang up eight strikeouts and walked three batters across six innings.
• Tam High senior Eli Solem notched nine strikeouts to pitch the Red-tailed Hawks to a 4-2 victory over Novato on Thursday. Solem held the Hornets to four hits through 6 2/3 innings. At the plate, he was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs, while Hawks junior Cole Kramlich doubled twice. Novato got runs from Cash Campbell and Gio Castaing.
• Senior Joey Cipollina hit a solo home run and scored three runs during San Marin’s 12-6 loss to Franklin of Elk Grove on Thursday to wrap up the Boras North Classic in Sacramento. Senior Trevor Krejdovsky was 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs for the Mustangs (10-7, 8-1 MCAL).
• Solid pitching gave Branson the edge it needed in a 13-2 victory over non-league foe Sonoma Academy on Wednesday. Branson starter Charlie Osher held Sonoma Academy to just two runs and four hits in four innings, before reliever Grayson Roberts took the mound for the final two innings, striking out five of the seven batters he faced. Holden Cane singled and tripled to bring home three runs and scored another run.
