Doris Lundberg, 98, passed away peacefully in late September of natural causes. She was born in Fort Collins, Colorado, where she grew up with her three sisters and a brother.

While in her first year at the University of Colorado, she met Arthur Lundberg while he was studying at the Colorado State University Veterinary School. Art was immediately smitten with Doris, and they were married within a year. Art was reserved and humble while Doris was gregarious, labile, and social. Art loved Doris's personality and was dedicated to her for life They shared a beautiful 73-year marriage and raised six children. Doris was known for her festive spirit, and Sunday brunches at her home after church services. Whether birthdays, holidays, or spontaneous celebrations, Doris brought joy and a party-like atmosphere to every occasion.

Doris was a talented classical pianist and took graduate classes at USC to improve her already superior ability.

She sang in the choir, never missed a beat and had a beautiful singing voice. She loved all kinds of music and loved to dance. Carribean music was her favorite.

While on the Board of Directors of South Bay Community Concerts association she sold tickets to all her friends.

Doris was a member of St. Andrews, St. Lukes, and St. Peters Presbyterian Churches. She played piano at the Sunday Schools and was involved in the Christian fellowship groups.

Survivors include her 4 children, Peggy, Nancy, John, Mary, her brother, Lloyd, nine grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by Art and their two sons, Michael and David.

Doris will be remembered for her wonderful smile, keen intellect, and joyful nature. She will be missed by all that knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on November 15, 2024, at St Peter's By The Sea Presbyterian Church.
