Sunny skies, mid- to upper 50s for parade
The weather will cooperate as the Cubs and their fans celebrate the World Series championship with a parade from Wrigley Field to Grant Park late morning into Friday afternoon. As the high-pressure center passes, sunny skies are expected with temperatures slowly climbing from the low 50s at 10 a.m. to the mid- and upper 50s by early afternoon. A seasonably mild, rain-free weekend looms, with the high pressure center to the east. Southwest winds along with abundant sunshine should boost afternoon temperatures well into the 60s. Highs in the mid-60s Saturday and closer to 70 degrees Sunday will be more like early October, about 12-15 degrees above normal for the first week in November. The next chance of rain looks to be a possibility of widely scattered light showers later Monday into early Tuesday.
