To the person who is ticked off with controlled or prescribed burns, obviously you have no idea what they are, or why they are done, and so to say that you are ticked off at the destruction shows just how ignorant you are about the topic. Florida has evolved with lightning causing fires for eons and this in turn has kept open areas open for the flora and fauna that depend on open areas that are exposed to fire. Controlled burns try to recreate nature since man seems to have a problem with letting nature do the work.

I’m ticked off! Municipalities need to remind lawn care companies that it is illegal to blow leaves and other debris into the streets. Everywhere I drive I see workers doing just that.

I’m ticked off at people that yell at their pharmacist. Take control of your own health, people! Your prescription is a contract between you and your doctor. Don’t yell at your pharmacist if your doctor failed to call in your prescription to the pharmacy. It’s not the pharmacist’s job to call your doctor to find it, it’s your job. Don’t yell if your insurance doesn’t cover your prescription. It’s your insurance. Go fight it out with your insurance company. Don’t expect a prescription to be ready 20 minutes after you call it in. It’s your fault you waited until the last minute. Try using the pharmacy’s “auto refill”. . . look it up. Not all pharmacies honor Good RX, so don’t yell if your coupon isn’t accepted. Take it up with Good Rx. Have some respect for your pharmacist. He’s a doctor, working with you to keep you healthy.

I’m ticked off at the jerk at the Altamonte Home Depot. All he had to do was back up one foot so I could pull in left to the handicap spot. Instead he decided to make it a stand off and neither of us could pull in. If I backed up it was into a traffic lane. Whatever happened to niceness? Your mother would be ashamed.

The flip side

I’m so happy that the City of Maitland plans to build a new library. This will be a jewel for our community to use in all sorts of ways.
