RFK and sugar

According to Robert Kennedy Jr., processed sugar is a poison to all of us. I know he’s trying to alert everybody and alarm everybody, but still because we still survive with eating too much processed sugar, it kind of misses the point. He doesn’t explain himself so that people can really understand where he’s coming from, and I fault him for that. As HHS secretary, he should explain himself.

City Council

Longmont needs good diversity in thought among council members and the city mayor. Now they all seem to think in the same rut. Of course this is caused by voters choosing the rutters. All the apartment dwellers need to register to vote locally and help put a lid on growth and require the city to upgrade existing locations with more common areas for families. The city failed to require developers to provide any.

GOP celebration

I just looked closely at the photo on the front page of the Times-Call and The Denver Post of Mike Johnson and his GOP cronies smiling and congratulating each other. But for what? Leaving a huge tax break for the wealthy in place but taking away health care from vulnerable people and increasing food insecurity for children and further increasing our natural national debt? Yay, I guess.

No confidence

It’s unfortunate that every time Trump got involved with Russia or Israel and Gaza, many more innocent people died. … I have no confidence in his ability to make the world safer.
