Boulder Times-Call
Since the Lehman sale of a great hometown newspaper, the failures of the Times-Call are that it’s run out of Boulder and is Boulder centric. The TC might as well shut down to become a satellite section of the Daily Camera.
Editor’s note: Our office, albeit a small one, is again located in Longmont. Four of our staff members live in Longmont.
Democrats
• Oh come now, Democrats. Pick yourselves up out of the dirt and learn something from it. Don’t wipe your dissatisfaction on others. Telling people how to think and getting ugly about it didn’t do your party any good, so you might want to use a different approach. Start with not being so emotional and bossy. Intelligent conversation is much easier when those barriers are down.
• For all you Democrats, it makes my day when you call up and complain constantly about Donald Trump being president. Now you’ve got a taste of what every normal Republican in the world has gone through the last four years, with the crookedest, lousiest president ever, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris at his side, the borders czar who couldn’t even do that job. Keep complaining; it makes me smile, it makes my day.
Chile rellenos
Monday night, my spouse and I went to Rose’s Cantina on North Main Street, and it was very good. But you know, for my money, I think Pumphouse has the best chile relleno dinner in town.
Mountain View and Main
I commend the city of Longmont for installing a left turn signal at the corner of Mountain View and Main Street. What I do not understand as a resident of Mountain View, why is it only operative part-time and the rest of the time flashing yellow? I would think that the volume of traffic that Longmont currently encounters could warrant this for a major through street in Longmont.
Egg prices
So I just went to buy a dozen eggs, and last week I was in shock because they were almost $6 a dozen. (Wednesday) they (were) almost $8 a dozen. I thought we had already gotten through the cage-free nonsense from Polis and the Democrats in the Legislature. What’s going on?
Town with no plans
All these new apartments bringing in all these new people and we still have no place to shop, not to mention we can get in the traffic gridlock coming home from work. It’s a small town acting like it’s a big town with no plans.
