


Holly Hovey picked up a pair of wins as the Archie Williams High girls swimming team registered a 116-67 victory over Terra Linda on Friday.
Hovey was victorious in the 50 free and the 100 free. Caroline McFerron (200 free), Taylor Fahy (100 breast), Makena Quinones (100 back), and Hadley Johnson (100 fly) also had wins for the Peregrine Falcons.
Eona Pasternak was among the standouts for TL, winning both the 200 IM and the 500 free.
Two more dates remain on the league’s regular-season swimming calendar — April 17 and April 25 — before the MCAL championships take place from May 1-3.
Boys swimming
Cameron Hellar, Nicolas Arinduque, and Ben Butler were all double winners as Terra Linda defeated Archie Williams 119-53 on Friday.
Heller won the 200 free and 500 free, Arinduque won the 100 butterfly and the 100 breast, and Butler won the 100 free and 100 back.
Jack Middleton was victorious in the 50 free for TL. Nolan Anderson won the 200 IM for Archie Williams.
Marin Free Throws
The Marin Free Throw Competition, which ran from 2008 until 2020, is set to make a comeback this summer.
The fundraising event, which is open to people of all ages, is scheduled to take place on July 12 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Archie Williams High.
Hall of Fame
KNBR host Brian Murphy is heading up a committee to launch an Athletic Hall of Fame for Tam. The inaugural ceremony is targeted for this October in Mill Valley.
