LAKE FOREST, Ill. >> No. 1 draft pick Caleb Williams will once again be missing a top wide receiver, with the Chicago Bears ruling Keenan Allen out for the second straight week because of a heel injury.

Allen will not travel with the team to Indianapolis for Sunday’s game against the Colts. His heel has been bothering the six-time Pro Bowler for several weeks, though coach Matt Eberflus said Friday it is improving. He also said Allen is dealing with a personal matter.

“He’ll be ready when he’s ready, when his body tells him,” Eberflus said. “We have a really good training staff and those guys are trying to get him back as soon as possible.”

49ers All-Pro tight end Kittle listed as doubtful>> The San Francisco 49ers will likely be without All-Pro tight end George Kittle for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Niners listed Kittle on Friday as doubtful for the game after he reported a sore hamstring following practice on Wednesday.

The Niners will also be without All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey, who went on injured reserve last week with Achilles tendinitis, and star receiver Deebo Samuel, who strained his calf last week.

Chargers QB Herbert listed as questionable>> Justin Herbert’s status for Sunday’s game at Pittsburgh could come down to a game-time decision after the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback did not practice on Friday because of a high right ankle sprain.

Herbert is listed as questionable on the injury report but said it is “something that’s yet to be decided” on if he can play.

Coach Jim Harbaugh said Herbert did not practice on Friday after consulting with trainers and the team’s medical staff.

QB Love questionable for Packers>> Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.

Love also was listed as questionable last Friday on Green Bay’s injury report, but he was downgraded to doubtful the following day and ended up missing the Packers’ 16-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Love hadn’t practiced at all in the week leading up to the Colts game, but he’s been practicing on a limited basis each of the last three days.
