Enforcing immigration law
In her opinion piece June 15 “What’s wrong with enforcing the law?” Susan Shelley castigates Karen Bass and other local leaders for interfering with ICE’s “legitimate” actions and she praises Donald J. Trump for his consistent and unwavering enforcement of immigration law. Citing the sport of basketball where she insists rules are enforced haphazardly, she admires Trump’s “full court press” saying “law enforcement isn’t supposed to be applied selectively or unequally.” For emphasis, she adds that with Trump, “That’s over now.” Or not! Sorry, Susan, but before the ink is even dry on your thesis, Trump has trashed it. Ripping the ball from your hands, he announces a major policy change: “farms, hotels, eateries are now exempt.” He’ll hone his personal retribution agenda later — hello N.Y.C., L.A. and Chicago! But remembering that the ball is in his hands, Trump lurches down the court oblivious to opponent or crowd reaction and draws a major foul. We used to call it “steps,” “traveling” or more deservedly (pun intended) “double drivel.”

250th Army parade
Gee, I’m glad that the newspaper was able to squeeze in a mention of the 250th anniversary of the rag-tag Continental Army that won the Revolutionary War against all odds, and propelled us into becoming the greatest country the world has ever seen. The AP and other leftist outlets harangue about an event they didn’t attend or have the heart to enjoy. It was more important for them to highlight the artificial No Kings Day. For anyone who thought it was more important to attend that event rather than celebrate the land of the free because of our brave men and women in uniform, I feel sorry for you.

No Kings protests
The articles on June 15 emphasize the reality that Democratic Party leadership does not have plans on how they can deal with the numerous issues now faced by our government. Rather than offering “better methods” by the government for the benefit of Americans, they focus on anti-Trump tactics. They want Trump to fail for the American people. Democratic leadership largely ignores what is best for America, and urges their members to use free speech in protects to continually repeat the dishonest anti-Trump propaganda of the party’s leadership. History is proving the falsity of these tactics.
