Front Range Rail

This is regarding the Front Range rail proposition. That would be great to have a Front Range rail as long as Longmont doesn’t need to give up any more money. We’ve been ripped off already.

Landing fees

• I pay real estate taxes for owning a home in Longmont. When I go to the rec center or play golf, I have to pay a fee. The city needs to charge landing fees at the airport and stop using taxpayer dollars to offset the airport budget deficit.

• The only thing more pathetic than Broomfield flight schools taking over the Vance Brand runway at no cost is our City Council that sits on their hands while the airport ledger bleeds red. Great business model, not having to fuel here or contribute to infrastructure and maintenance. What does our well-paid airport manager do anyway?

It’s not his land

I remember the hymn “This Land is Your Land,” and I wonder why the president decides that he can just sell our public land. I don’t understand it. It’s not his land. It’s our land, and I’d like Congress to talk about something and not allow this president to do whatever he wants with whatever he wants and bomb whatever he wants.

Trump haters

This message goes out to all the Trump haters here in Longmont and the Colorado area. You would be a whole lot better to all move to Iran where you would find company just like you. Good move. Please go.

Impeach Trump?

Impeach Trump for not going through Congress on the bombing situation in Iran. Is California next, or Colorado? Oh, I forgot. He’s already put boots on the ground in California.

Wait for Congress?

Democrats are predictably saying that the president had to wait for congressional approval before dropping bombs on Iran. Democrats would never approve. Congress cannot make decisions in real time. If there is a bomb on the way to D.C., do you wait for Congress? This is a continuing campaign to harass the president and his administration. Let’s get real.

Nuclear site damage

We hear that Iran’s most important nuclear sites damage from the B2 raid was limited. Who says so? The Defense Intelligence Agency. Now, who do you think knows more about it — these intelligence wonks or the guy who runs around and plays golf instead of governing? When you’re setting policy with one aim — that is adulation instead of accomplishment — this is what happens.

Nazis tried that

I have an idea for the Trump administration and the deportation of immigrants. I want to make their quest to expel brown people easier. Maybe we could wear a brown star on our clothing to more easily identify ourselves for ICE. Oh, wait. They tried that in Nazi Germany, only the star was yellow. Something to think about, people.
