Burbank

GUN POSSESSION: Omar R. Abdennabi, 30, 5200 block of 87th Street, Burbank, turned himself in April 9 in response to a charge of reckless discharge of a firearm stemming from a March 30 shooting in the 9000 block of Octavia Avenue that damaged a car, police said.

AGGRAVATED DUI: Javier Sotelo, 52, Chicago, was arrested and accused of aggravated DUI and driving without proof of insurance during an April 5 investigation of a motorist asleep in the 7800 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

Chicago Ridge

DUI CRASH: Michael J. Moloney, 55, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of drunken driving and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision April 11 in the 5900 block of 111th Street, police said.

Crestwood

STORE BURGLARIZED: Liquor and merchandise were taken from Shop-Mart, 13650 Cicero Ave., during an April 20 break-in, police said. Security video shows several masked individuals exiting via a crowbar-damaged exterior door at 4:05 a.m. with boxes and bottles, police said.

Evergreen Park

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: A resident of the 9400 block of Sacramento Avenue told police two men entered his home and shot him in the leg at about 11:10 a.m. April 6. The men eluded a subsequent search, police said.

DEALING ALLEGED: Candida J. Camargo, 41, 5000 block of 85th Street, Burbank, was arrested April 5 in the 9300 block of Pulaski Road and accused of possessing more than 30 grams of cannabis with intent to sell after officers recovered almost 8.75 ounces of marijuana from his vehicle, police said.

Frankfort

FATAL CRASH: Officers are investigating an April 16 single-vehicle crash in the 21600 block of Wolf Road that killed Leonard L. Hawrysio Jr., 65, New Lenox, police said. The Will County coroner’s office pronounced Mr. Hawrysio deceased at 11 p.m. April 16 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. Final cause and manner of death will be determined following police and toxicological reports, the coroner’s office said.

Homewood

SHOTS FIRED: Officers recovered several spent shell casings in the area while investigating a 5:30 a.m. April 21 report of shots fired in the 1100 block of Olive Road, police said. No injuries were reported, although a home was hit, police said. The shooter had left the scene before officers arrived, police said.

Midlothian

SUSPECTED BURGLARY: Two teens found to have a screwdriver, window puncher and a vehicle-key reprogramming device were petitioned into Cook County court’s juvenile division, charged with possession of burglary tools, police said. The 17-year-old and 15-year-old were initially congregating in an apartment complex April 11 and were arrested with the help of Markham police and a police helicopter, police said.

New Lenox

HOME INVASION: Brian K. McDaniel, 61, 1000 block of Helen Avenue, Joliet, was arrested April 18 in Tinley Park and subsequently charged with home invasion and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, according to police and Will County court records online. Police said McDaniel forced his way into an acquaintance’s home in the 500 block of Cooper Road at about 11:45 p.m. on April 16 after identifying himself as a police officer, and then demanded gold, pistol whipped the victim and stole a gun, jewelry and coins before fleeing.

Oak Lawn

DEALING ALLEGED: A Calumet City man injured in an April 1 shooting that also hit a home at 104th Street and Mayfield Avenue had a .40 caliber handgun with an extended magazine, 2 3/4 pounds of marijuana, 17-opioid-based pills and 15 morphine-based pills, police said. Justin J. McClendon, 24, 500 block of Hoxie Avenue, is charged with armed violence, illegally possessing a controlled substance, manufacture/delivery of 501 to 2,000 grams of cannabis and aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, according to a Cook County Circuit Court spokesperson.

GUN POSSESSION: Jamell D. Watson, 38, Chicago, was arrested April 1 in the 4700 block of Southwest Highway and subsequently charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after an officer recovered a loaded 9 mm pistol and extended magazine reported stolen out of Chicago, police said. Watson was also charged with felony driving on a suspended license and possessing ammunition without a gun permit, police said.

Orland Park

DUI CRASH: Timothy J. O’Keefe, 67, 18000 block of John Charles Drive, Orland Park, was arrested March 11 and accused of drunken driving, disregarding a traffic signal, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision, aggravated use of a wireless telephone while driving and illegally transporting alcohol following a two-vehicle crash in the 18400 block of La Grange Road that injured him and the other driver, police said.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Ryan S. Graves, 42, 15600 block of 82nd Street, Orland Park, was arrested at 5 p.m. March 12 on 157th Street near Innsbrook Drive and accused of aggravated battery and resisting arrest after he threw a drink on an officer, used racial epithets and had to be restrained with a Taser before officers were able to move him and his shopping cart out of rush-hour traffic, police said. Graves was also accused of violating the Dead Animal Disposal Act after officers determined the cart contained a decomposing dog, police said.

GUN POSSESSION: Antonio D. Billings, 36, Chicago, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawfully possession of a weapon, unlawfully possessing ammunition, resisting arrest, possessing stolen property and retail theft after officers recovered a 9 mm handgun reported stolen out of Columbus, Ohio, during a March 26 retail theft investigation at the Sunglass Hut at Orland Square, police said. Officers also recovered three sunglasses collectively selling for $1,587 from the Sunglass Hut, three pairs of glasses from LensCrafters selling for $1,314 and numerous bags of clothing, police said.

Park Forest

GUN POSSESSION: Jwuan J. Bolton, 24, 300 block of Meota Street, Park Forest, was arrested with a 9 mm pistol with a loaded magazine and no gun permits March 31 in that block and subsequently charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, police said.

GUN POSSESSION: Anthony A. Anderson, 31, 400 block of Indiana Street, Park Forest, was arrested and subsequently charged with being a felon unlawfully possessing a firearm April 1 at Western Avenue and Birch Street after officers recovered a .223 caliber rifle with two loaded magazines and determined he was a convicted felon ineligible for a gun permit, police said.
