Robert C. “Bob" Hans, 91, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Lake Forest, CA.<br><br>Bob was born in St. Louis, MO, on July 31, 1933, to Conrad L. Hans and Helen Julia (Bujalo) Hans. They had two sons, Bob and his younger brother Larry. He went to George Washington High School in L.A. After high school, he worked at his father’s construction company, where he trained to become a heavy equipment operator and eventually joined the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE).<br><br>Bob was a devoted family man and loving husband to Claudia (Carabba), as well as an amazing father to their 5 children. Bob and Claudia were married on May 3rd, 1952, celebrating close to 71 wonderful years of marriage before Claudia passed in February 2023. He was a true outdoorsman and renaissance man who was lovingly referred to as “Our Marlboro Man.” His hobbies were fishing in Bishop, CA, riding dirt bikes, panning for gold, racing go-karts, and tending to his garden.<br><br>Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife, Claudia, parents, and brother.<br><br>He is survived by his 5 children, Michael, Helen (Jim), Caryn (Dennis), Bobette (Bill), and Chris (Kim), 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.<div></div><br>
