Mitchell Ray Skinner, age 80, died peacefully at his Rosebud, TX home surrounded by his loving family on October 27, 2024.

Mitchell was born in 1944 in Pryor, OK. Following his service in the Army, Mitchell relocated to Southern California, growing deep roots in Duarte, CA.

Mitchell was known for his kindness, love of his family and working with his hands, as well as an unparelleled sense of humor. Mitchell served as a volunteer sheriff in the Duarte area for over 10 years, following his retirement as a Teamsters Union truck driver.

He is survived by his wife of40 years, Mary Jo Skinner, his sons, Derek and Josh, daughters Gina, Valerie, Precious and Jessica, as well as his sister, Dixie Santone.

Mitchell is also survived by 20 amazing grandchildren, 12 beautiful great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, a grand nephew, and great great grand nieces and nephews.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his brother Melvin, mother Alpha Louise and granddaughter Skylar.
