A helicopter crash-landed outside of Cabana Blue Lakefront Sports Bar and Grill in Clay Township on Sunday.

At about 1 p.m., Clay Township 911 received multiple 911 calls regarding a possible helicopter crash near the Cabana Blue restaurant in the 7300 block of Dyke Road, according to the police department. Emergency crews were immediately dispatched and were on site within minutes of the reported crash.

First responders reported a single aircraft, a Eurocopter EC-130, that was on its side in a vacant parking area near the Cabana Blue restaurant, police said. There were four occupants on board at the time of the incident and only minor injuries were reported. All occupants were treated by medical first responders and released at scene.

The incident was reported to the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board and they will be taking over the investigation into determining the cause of the crash. Police said no other information is being released at this time.
