John Legend’s daughter Luna is proving that she’s an impressive negotiator.

The 8-year-old showed off her skills in a new video published by Billboard on Thursday, where she interviewed her father about his latest children’s album, “My Favorite Dream.”

In a hilarious exchange, Luna didn’t waste any time angling for a smartphone after Legend told her that lately, he and Chrissy Teigen, with whom he shares children Luna, Miles, Esti and Wren, have been “getting some good advice about phones and social media and how dangerous they are.”

Legend continued to say that they won’t allow Luna to have a smartphone until she’s 16 years old.

“How about we compromise on 9?,” Luna told her dad after he asked what she thought about that.

The Grammy winner laughed at her response, throwing his head back and applauding her adorable effort.

Judge denies effort to dismiss Jay-z’s rape case

Jay-Z’s efforts to dismiss a case accusing him of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 have been denied by a judge, who also granted the “Jane Doe” accuser the ability to proceed anonymously, despite efforts from the rap mogul’s legal team to have her reveal her identity publicly. Jay-Z, whose given name is Shawn Carter, has vigorously denied the accusations.

In an order filed Thursday, New York Judge Analisa Torres penned a scathing decision condemning aggressive tactics by Carter’s lawyer in the motion to dismiss the case.

“Carter’s lawyer’s relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client,” the order read. “The Court will not fast-track the judicial process merely because counsel demands it.”

This month, the accuser filed an amended lawsuit accusing Sean “Diddy” Combs and an anonymous celebrity of raping her after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.
