What Trump meant to say was “When you give a crazed, crying, lowlife a break, I guess it just didn’t work out.” Voters sure are sorry they gave a businessman a shot at the presidency. Live and learn.

Trump gave a speech acknowledging the signing of the John McCain National Defense Authorization Act without ever mentioning Mr. McCain’s name. What a very small, petty, vindictive child this guy is. Trump will never have anything of value named after him.

This is the most bizarre administration. They make up charges or amp up things about people they don’t like to get rid of them, and yet they overlook the serious allegations going on in their own party. How convenient.

Coming from the second highest per capita area in Indiana, U.S. Sen. Todd Young visited Gary and calling for a task force to explore and review the present “crisis” of affordable housing. His “Fair Shot Agenda” includes opportunity, safety, health and better government. Does anyone actually believe these millionaire Republicans in Congress care about a “Fair Shot Agenda”? Why didn’t noted brain surgeon Ben Carson accompany him on this visit to support this program? Oh, yeah, Carson is opposed to everything in the program. Once again, Young should have contacted the other Cabinet heads to ensure they are on board. None are.

Trump kept up the pressure until Peter Strzok was fired for having an anti-Trump opinion. When do the firings start for the pro-Trump legislators that have made it their No. 1 job to protect Mr. Trump throughout all of his unethical and illegal actions?

With all the damage the farmers of today are doing to the planet with all their pesticides, it’s really hard for me to really care if the tariffs are taking a few bucks out of their pockets. I used to pull corn out of the bean fields when I was a kid, but now they take the easy way out and use poison to do the trick. Sometimes you get what you ask for, and the easiest way isn’t always the right way to get the job done. You have to wonder how many bees they’re killing and the effects the long-term damage will do to our food supply and our waterways, where the damage is staring you in the face as we speak.

What would happen if a CEO routinely made false and misleading statements about himself, the company and results and publicly attacked business partners, company divisions, employees and analysts and kowtowed to a dangerous competitor? How long do you think he would be in that position?

If everyone that said they didn’t like Trump got fired, nobody would be working in Washington, D.C.

Most people learn things through the aging process — you live and learn. Why are there so many adults stuck in this perpetual ignorance? It’s not that hard to learn — at least read a newspaper every day — you will learn what is going on in your city, state and the country.

“I do believe these people who are anti-Trump are also anti-job, meaning they have no honest jobs.” This is the kind of gibberish Trump fans say. They have no valid response to anything that their cherished leader says or does, so they make up nonsense. Try harder, please.

I hope the voters in Lake County will make sure they get out and vote. Show this state that they are not going to keep you from voting like they are trying to do.

Oh, this is too much. Trump’s aides are saying that Omarosa’s taping of Kelly demonstrates a “lack of respect for institutions.” This coming from a nest of viperous disrespecters of institutions led by the chief disrespecter of them all. He disrespects and desecrates the office of the presidency on a daily basis.
