The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired 6-foot-10, 255-pound center Kenneth Nwuba from the NBA G League’s available player pool, Golden State’s affiliate announced Monday.
After completing a six-year collegiate career at UCLA (2018-24), Nwuba went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft. He appeared on the Grand Rapids Gold’s training camp roster heading into the 2024-25 NBA G League season before being acquired from the available player pool by the Stockton Kings on Feb. 13. The 25-year-old appeared in one game for the Kings on Feb. 13 against the Santa Cruz Warriors and logged seven minutes of action.
At UCLA, the Nigeria native logged 122 points, 153 rebounds, 36 blocks, and 26 assists through 123 games, which included eight starts.
He moved to the U.S. when he was 15. He enrolled in Arlington Country Day School in Jacksonville, Florida, as a freshman, played two seasons at Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, and completed his prep career at Huntington Prep in Huntington, West Virginia.
Nwuba will wear number 21 for the Warriors and will be active for the team’s next contest against the Wisconsin Herd on Wednesday.
