Resident of San Jose Barbara has gone to be with the Lord.<br><br>Graduate of Los Gatos High School, and San Jose State College. Teacher, Homemaker. She will be remembered for her love of her family, music, gardening, and rocky road ice cream. She had an excellent embouchure when she played saxophone orclarinet.<br><br>She was predeceased by Jack Hawkins, her husband of nearly 70 years, and (having lived to nearly 101 years) most of her friends and relatives of her generation.<br><br>Survived by her four children; Kathy Roessler, Sharon Cunigan, Laureen Stevens, and Kenneth Hawkins; their spouses; 8grandchildren; and 4great grandchildren.<br><br>A private graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park on December 10, 2025.<br><br>We suggest donations in her name to History San Jose: https://historysanjose.org/get-involved/support/<div></div><br>
