Woodland police make firearm arrest
On Sunday morning, Woodland police made a traffic stop for a vehicle registration violation that turned into a firearm-related arrest, according to a post from the Woodland Police Department.
Woodland resident 33-year-old Christopher Reyes was pulled over by a patrol officer regarding his vehicle’s registration being expired. As the officer was conducting the traffic stop, it was revealed Reyes was in possession of a concealed, loaded firearm, which is illegal in the state of California.
“Handguns may be transported in a vehicle but must be unloaded and in a locked container or the trunk,” the Woodland Police Department Facebook post notes.
Reyes was taken into custody and booked at the Yolo County Jail for charges associated to the firearm.
