Kevin Durant became the eighth player in NBA history to score 30,000 points, hitting the mark in the host Suns’ 119-112 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night with a free throw late in the third quarter.

The 36-year-old Phoenix Suns forward joins LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Dirk Nowitzki and Wilt Chamberlain in the 30,000-point club. Julius Erving also hit the mark when combining his points scored in the NBA and ABA.

Durant scored 34 points in the setback.

Ja Mornt led the Grizzlies with 26 points.

KNICKS 128, PACERS 115: Karl-Anthony Towns had 40 points and 12 rebounds and visiting New York beat Indiana.

Pascal Siakam had 24 points for the Pacers.

PISTONS 132, BULLS 92: Malik Beasley made seven 3-pointers and finished with 24 points and visiting Detroit built a franchise-record, 42-point halftime lead. Matas Buzelis led the Bulls with 12 points.
