To the uninformed person who wrote “whenever there is a mass shooting, the liberals immediately call for removing guns... they think the criminals will turn in their guns... to reduce gun violence....secure our borders.”: Really? I haven’t heard calls for removing guns. Sane people call for common sense gun regulation and licensing, not removing guns, as do 70% of Americans. And secure the border in order to prevent mass shootings here? Haven’t you noticed that most all perpetrators of mass shootings are white supremacist and/or sociopathic white males? They are already here. Sorry, securing the border will do nothing to stop the home grown white domestic terrorists from committing mass murder.

Why do some people find it so hard to be nice to you when you try and protect your health by wearing a mask out public?

What If! What If! Has anyone ever wondered what if the insurrectionists did break into the sacred chamber and captured Mike Pence and hung him or still got ahold of Nancy Pelosi and hung her also? Would our country then become a monarchy and they had Trump to be president for a second term backed up by the millions of people who voted for him, would all those people be happy and satisfied that this country would turn into a monarchy and democracy as we know it went down the toilet. Would we have a civil war over this with extreme bloodshed? And the history of our country that millions found for to have a democracy and freedom be in vain? These are unimaginable thoughts and would scare the hell out me or you! Thank God that this insurrection failed and we are still a country with democracy. Think about all this the next time you vote.

If any of you still have questions about how Republicans feel about helping YOU rather than the big companies, just look how our governor is handling the outrageous gas taxes we pay in Indiana. It is never enough for these people even with a $5 BILLION dollar surplus. Vote if you want to change things in this state next November. It shouldn’t be hard for anyone to figure our which party represents YOU and which party represents only the rich.

Let me set the record straight, again. Liberals do not want to take guns away from law-abiding citizens. But we do want laws that keep weapons out of the hands of dangerous criminals and the mentally unstable. We do not need AR-15s and high capacity magazine clips. Republicans don’t care about the slaughter of innocent lives and in fact are doing away with the common sense law of registering a gun. Demonizing police and securing our border have absolutely nothing to do with the mass shootings we see every single day in only our country. Home grown terrorists and NRA culture are responsible.

Joe Biden gave a nice peace and harmony speech after the grocery store shootings. It was as impressive as a similar speech he made when he first took office. During the same periods, Nancy and Chuck give their routine hate and destroy speeches. Why cannot Joe rein in his troops to give a united front? All we get out of our elected leaders anymore is to destroy the other party. This is the best that our country has to offer? I think not.

I agree with the writer that said to defeat any elected official running on a platform of support for Trump, thinks that Biden was not duly elected, and any conspiracy theories at all. I will take it a step further. Anyone who believes this garbage is stupid and should not be allowed to vote or to run for office.

In regards to the expanding Willowcreek through Wheeler, does it not make sense to take it over Sedley Bridge at the other end of town where there already is a bridge? Seems to me would be less expensive, and by the looks of most of the local roads, repairing them makes more sense.

I had planned to watch the Cubs home game Wednesday night. Lo and behold, the game was not being aired on their own network. I pay too much for cable now and I am ready to cut the cord. I guess the Ricketts family doesn’t have enough money yet.
