


Eden Clark struck out 14 batters in a complete-game no-hitter for the Tam High softball team in a 7-0 victory against Pittsburg on Thursday.
Ava Lee reached base four times with two hits and two walks, driving in a run and scoring once. Zoe Fletcher had two hits and scored twice for Tam (3-0). Delphine McGrane also had two RBIs.
• Makaila Eller hit a two-run, go-head double in the sixth inning as Redwood secured a 7-4 victory against Petaluma on Thursday. Eller’s hit put the Giants ahead 6-4 then Ava Brown got her second hit and third RBI of the day for the final margin. Adriella Marcus added two hits and scored twice for the Giants (2-4).
• Paige Murphy had three hits and limited the opposition to one hit as Archie Williams rolled to a 16-1 win against Sonoma Valley in five innings Thursday. Murphy drove in three runs, scored four times, and struck out five hitters over four innings. Sam Singer also had a huge day at the plate for the Peregrine Falcons (5-1) with three hits, four RBIs, and two runs.
Boys tennis
Sam Zail held on for a three-set singles win to help Tam clinch a 4-3 victory over Archie Williams on a windy Thursday. Zail beat Dylan Donner 6-4, 2-6, 10-5 at No. 3 singles. Tam’s Witt Bulger won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles against Fin Donnelly.
The Peregrine Falcons earned a pair of dramatic singles as Teo Donnelly won 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 against Diego Castillo at No. 2 singles, and Quinn McSweeney won at No. 4 singles against Nathan Bandouveres, 4-6, 6-1, 10-2.
• Branson and Terra Linda battled back and forth in singles play as the Bulls zeroed in for a 6-1 victory on Thursday. Gian Carlo a Marca held off the Trojans’ Aryaveer Singh, 6-3, 2-6, 10-5, at No. 2 singles. Branson’s Cal Keenley held tough for a 6-7, 7-5, 10-6 win at No. 3 singles. Terra Linda’s Rupert Atkins beat Mason Osborne, 6-3, 3-6, 10-4 in the No. 1 singles match.
Prep baseball
Branson’s Mo Jacoby did it all as the Bulls held off a seventh-inning rally by Marin Catholic, 5-4, to pick up its first league win of the season at College of Marin on Thursday. Jacoby dealt eight strikeouts and three walks as he scattered five hits through six innings. Tom Lardner pitched a solid one-run inning to close out the game for Branson.
Jacoby’s bat was as strong as his pitching arm as he homered and drove in three runs for the Bulls, who scored four runs in the second inning. Cobe Benjamin had a hit and an RBI, and Treyvor Mathews had two hits for the Bulls (2-4, 1-4 MCAL).
Senior Carson Davis had a pair of hits and an RBI for the Wildcats (5-2, 3-1).
• Junior JP Harmon hurled six shutout innings with 15 strikeouts as Novato beat host Archie Williams, 5-1, on Thursday. Harmon surrendered only two hits before handing the ball over to reliever Dominic Scafani. Junior Griffin Vorhaus homered and Harmon tripled and drove in three runs for the Hornets (4-3, 2-2 MCAL). Novato’s Julian Oliver and Gio Castaing each had a double. The Peregrine Falcons’ August Block broke up the shutout with a seventh-inning solo homer.
Boys golf
Charlie Wilhelm’s 1-over 21 at Harding Park’s Fleming Course paced Marin Academy to a 138-158 victory over Stuart Hall on Thursday. Charlie Hansen came around at 32 and freshman Demir Kocaman shot a 36 in just his second high school varsity match for the Wildcats (3-0, 2-0 BCL).
• Ben Friedman shot a 2-under 34 at Peacock Gap on Thursday as Tam earned a pair of wins. The Red-tailed Hawks tallied a 195 team score, with Branson at 207 and Terra Linda at 243. The Bulls’ Drew Kalafatas carded a 38 and the Trojans’ Matty Nelson shot a 47.
• The Bulldogs’ Kai Payne shot a low round 39 at Marin Country Club and San Rafael edged Novato, 235-240, as the skies cleared Thursday after the previous day’s storm. Sam Ojeda shot a 43 for the Hornets (2-2).
• Cole O’Connell shot a low round 37 to lead Redwood to a 199-224 victory over Archie Williams at the Meadow Club on Thursday. The Peregrine Falcons were paced by matching 42s from Yousef Abueida and Calvin Gundee.

Registration is open for the 36th annual Marin Athletic Fund golf tournament. The event is scheduled for Monday, April 21, at Indian Valley Golf Club, with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start.
