Notre Dame-Belmont softball player Allison Lui is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week and Mountain View baseball player Preston Huang is the boys athlete of the week for April 7-12.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Lui finished with 45.69% of the votes. Capuchino softball player Lola Sierra took second at 35.55%.

In the boys poll, Huang had 41.18% to finish ahead of Freedom baseball player Colton Vick, who was second at 33.11%.

Lui, a senior, pitched a complete game in a 3-1 win over Notre Dame-San Jose, allowing just an unearned run and hitting a single to key NDB’s three-run rally in the top half of the seventh inning. She walked just one NDSJ batter and struck out 13.

Huang, a sophomore, threw a complete game shutout in Mountain View’s 4-0 win over Aragon. Mountain View (10-5) is slated to host Homestead today.
