Glendora football coach Brandon Rohrer, who led the Tartans to the CIF Southern Section Division 6 championship game this past season, resigned Monday after seven seasons at the school.

Glendora finished 9-5 this season, losing to Murrieta Mesa in the championship game.

Rohrer had a record of 56-23 at Glendora and led the team to the playoffs in six of his seven years.

In 2021, Rohrer led the Tartans to a 10-0 regular season before finishing 11-1 overall and reaching the Division 3 semifinals.

He resigns with 99 career victories, having also coached at La Puente.

“Coach Rohrer embraced the ‘Be the Best’ mantra, teaching his student-athletes lessons that will far outreach their time playing football,” Glendora principal Jamie Norell wrote in a press release. “The Tartans will miss coach Rohrer’s contributions on the football field, but we support him as he continues in his role at GHS as a math teacher and leader of curriculum and accreditation teams. … Coach Rohrer is looking forward to pursuing his administrative credential and coaching his own children.”
