Michigan offensive lineman Giovanni El-Hadi is returning for a fifth season, his final year of eligibility, he announced Wednesday on Instagram.

Meanwhile, offensive tackle Jeff Persi has decided to transfer.

A Sterling Heights Stevenson grad, El Hadi started every game last season at right guard. He has appeared in 42 games during his Michigan career. Persi appeared in 38 games, with three starts at left tackle.

“I am completely dedicated to this team, this university, and to giving my all on the field, trusting that God will guide us every step of the way,” El-Hadi wrote in his post.
