Boulder attacks

• It would be nice if all those spiritual leaders who gathered in Boulder to bring peace to the violence in front of the courthouse would also gather to bring peace to the genocide that is happening in Gaza.

• The Pearl Street Mall terrorist didn’t kill anyone. The King Sooper shooter killed 10 people. Why aren’t the Republicans and Trump banning assault weapons?

Safer streets needed

Blaming cyclists for car drivers not paying attention is just absurd. We need safer street design to protect us.

NCAA coverage

Just wondered if the Times-Call sports editor has ever heard of the NCAA women’s softball teams and men’s baseball teams. There have been numerous games in the last few days by both leagues and nothing in the paper about the scores each day. They have multiple articles about the French Open, about the NBA team’s playoffs but nothing about NCAA. I’m disappointed.

Warmest spring

I just read that Denver had the warmest spring in 13 years. Climate change better hurry up. We were supposed to be doomed in just 12 years, and that was 20 years ago.

Anti-semitism

It is important to distinguish between the rampant anti-Semitism that has always existed. For example, banning Jews from country clubs and golf courses or turning away ships with Jews fleeing Nazi Europe. That compared to opposition to Israel’s treatment of Palestinians over eight decades, including stealing Palestinian’s lands to make settlements, and now a war leading to deaths of thousands of children. Concern and demonstration about Israel’s behavior has been led often by Jewish Voices for Peace.

Deportations

I was wondering if anybody else noticed that President Trump hasn’t deported one single white person yet. Coincidence? You be the judge.

Equal health insurance

Congresslady Joni Ernst said, “We are all going to die.” However, some will not have not so good of medical attention to a healthy life before we die. My question is who pays for the health insurance for members of Congress? I think it is us the taxpayer, so I think they need to give up their health insurance to be equal with the Americans who are being on the chopping block. What do you think?
