Our dearest Nancy passed away at home surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was a light in the lives of all who knew her. Always authentic and warm, caring and loving; you could not help feeling the beauty and grace of her generous spirit.
She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone.
Nancy was born in Lynwood, Ca. and raised in nearby Fullerton. She attended Sunny Hills High, then, after moving to Northern California with her family, Pleasant Hill High and graduated from Clayton Valley High. She attended classes at Diablo Valley College and earned a certification as a dental assistant. Besides being a wife, mother and homemaker she spent most of her working life as an administrative assistant for various law and accounting firms; and finished up working at Los Medanos Nursing Program before retiring.
Nancy had many interests and passions. Besides being the best wife a man could ever hope for she was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She cherished the time spent with them. She loved her cats over the years.
Our most recent Casper and Princess feel her absence and are missing her. She loved the ocean and shell collecting on the beach. A favorite destination was Pismo Beach. Nancy was an avid reader and imparted her love of reading to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed many PBS programs, especially detective series.
She also loved sci-fi and old movies from the golden age of Hollywood. She could name all the lead actors in these old classics. She enjoyed doing many craft projects and was a very talented interior decorator. She was always looking for ways to beautify our home. She especially outdid herself at Christmas. She enjoyed traveling and we were fortunate to take several trips within the US, and trips and cruises to many parts of the world.
She loved spending time on her iPad communicating with her family and friends and making sweet and supportive comments on others’ posts. One particular joy she had was participating in family book club zoom meetings with her mother, sisters, niece and granddaughters.
