IRVINE >> Rams coach Sean McVay declined to say whether quarterback Matthew Stafford has elbow tendinitis in his throwing arm because he’s not entirely sure what type of injury his veteran quarterback is dealing with. NFL Network reported that Stafford’s elbow issue is “bad tendinitis.”

Initially, McVay didn’t specify beyond saying that Stafford is dealing with arm pain and the plan moving forward was to limit his workload during training camp for the next two weeks. McVay revealed Thursday that Stafford’s arm issue is “abnormal” for quarterbacks and it’s something mostly baseball pitchers deal with.
