The Union scored the opening goal three minutes before the end of the first half on a play that started with a throw-in deep in their own half. After Mobi Fehr tossed the ball into a crowd at the center of the field, Chase Boone headed it toward Gleadle. Gleadle then pushed upfield, passing to a streaking Doner, who finished the scoring play with a right-footed goal.

In the 89th minute, Hugh Roberts II played the ball ahead to Alex Dixon into the short corner area of the field. Dixon whipped a low ball into the center of the box. The ball was slightly deflected to the top of the box where Gleadle was able to direct it into the bottom left corner of the goal for the game-winner.
