HENDERSON, Nev.>> Raiders coach Antonio Pierce channeled his inner Bill Belichick on Wednesday, delivering his own version of “We’re on to Cincinnati” after being asked repeatedly about star wide receiver Davante Adams’ status with the team.

“Davante’s dealing with a hamstring (injury),” Pierce said. “He’s rehabbing, and the rest of us are focusing on Denver.”

The Raiders visit the Broncos on Sunday, and whether Adams will be on the flight to Denver is very much an open question given this week’s developments. He could miss his second game in a row with a hamstring injury, but multiple reports have said he wants out of Las Vegas and that the Raiders might be willing to accommodate such a request.

Raiders players followed Pierce’s cue and said their main objective was preparing for the Broncos, though wide receiver Jakobi Meyers acknowledged the Adams situation is hanging in the background.

“It’s going to be a distraction,” Meyers said. “It is what it is. We understand that.”

HILL HAPPY WITH DOLPHINS>> Tyreek Hill flashed a big smile as he described the “beautiful situation” he’s in as the star receiver for the Miami Dolphins — downplaying trade rumors that have emerged surrounding teams, including his former Kansas City Chiefs, in need of receiver help.

Hill said Wednesday that he would love to stay in Miami, even amid a 1-3 start in which the Dolphins have the worst scoring offense in the NFL. “I’m just focused on right here, right now,” Hill said. “We got a beautiful team here, and I want to be a part of it.”

Patriots center to have season-ending surgery>> New England Patriots center David Andrews, a nine-year veteran and two-time Super Bowl champion, is expected to have season-ending shoulder surgery, coach Jerod Mayo said.

Dolphins pass rusher Phillips to have knee surgery>> Miami Dolphins pass rusher Jaelan Phillips said the knee injury he suffered against the Tennessee Titans on Monday night will require season-ending surgery.

Phillips was injured in the first half of Monday’s 31-12 loss to the Titans when he collided with teammate Jordan Poyer.

SORE HIP LIMITS ANTHONY RICHARDSON>> Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson’s injured hip was too sore for him to do much at Wednesday’s practice.

So 39-year-old backup Joe Flacco took snaps with the starting offense and could be in line to replace Richardson on Sunday in Jacksonville.

Flacco replaced Richardson in last weekend’s 27-24 victory over previously unbeaten Pittsburgh, completing 16 of 26 throws for 168 yards and two touchdowns.
