Finally a solution to government bloat and waste

So, with the flurry of changes President Trump is making, and the confirmations of his appointees, there are still a few of our fellow Americans out there who are up in arms.

It is funny because almost all of them would agree that the bloated, intrusive government needs an overhaul. Their objection is not to the needed spotlight on the abuse and waste of our taxpayer money, their objection is to the leader that is trying to make it happen.

I have always thought that if you have a complaint, come with a solution. A majority of Americans have a complaint on the direction of the country since 9/11, here comes a leader with a solution. Be a part of the solution or get out of the way!

Democrats’ strategy to resist isn’t working anymore

If Democrats are scratching their heads in puzzlement as to why more people aren’t responding to their latest salvos of fear-mongering regarding President Trump’s “scorched-earth” policies (i.e. ridding the federal government of “waste”) it might help to recall a very famous quote made by a very famous president, one Abraham Lincoln.

Lincoln said, “You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.”

Yep, that about says it. I’m beginning to think that their little bag of tricks is pretty much empty.

What will they do now ... will they throw the bag itself at us?

Calvert on Trump and Musk

Ken Calvert’s defense headlined “DOGE does what must be done to protect taxpayers” on Feb. 13 of Trump’s and Musk’s actions is just another example of the typical “look here, not there” tactic of political illusionists.

Telling USAID workers around the world to stop what they’re doing and come home is a meat-ax approach to a problem that requires a scalpel.

People will suffer; people will die. And it’s not just a humanitarian catastrophe, but a foreign policy catastrophe as well. China will gleefully step in and provide the aid no longer provided by the unreliable and uncaring Americans.

“Line-by-line audit,” Mr. Calvert? If only!
