Resident of Pinole Born March 4th, 1929, in Stillwell, Oklahoma. Ruby Lorene Crittenden led a full and rewarding life passing away at home on May 22, 2025. Ruby was born to Stephen and Nancy Roberts, and had alarge family of 13 brothers and sisters. She attended school in the Stillwell area and graduated from Stillwell H.S. in 1945. She married Eldred Issac Crittenden in 1947 then moved to Calif. in 1953. Ruby was a library clerk for the Richmond Public Library for 20 plus years before retiring.

Ruby had many interests in her life. She was very active in The Point Richmond Baptist Church and also in The Mac Arthur Community Baptist Church. She enjoyed activities such as gardening, sewing, cooking, quilting, traveling and watching The SF Giants play baseball.

Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eldred (Chief) with whom she shared 52 years of marriage, as well as her mother and father and all of her sisters and brothers. She is survived by her three children, daughter Donna, sons Harold (Judy) and Doyle, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a quiet-time viewing on Wednesday June 4, 2025 from 3-5 pm, and agraveside service on Thursday June 5, 2025 at 10:00 am at Sunset View Cemetery, 101 Colusa Avenue in El Cerrito. Arrive at 9:30 am at parking lot for a procession to the grave site.
