


Weapons Violation: On April 27, at around 7:58 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding in a school zone on the intersection of West Street and Gibson Road. Upon contacting the driver, 23-year-old Juan Torres of Woodland told the officer he had a loaded gun in the glove compartment. Further investigation confirmed the information provided. Torres was released with a notice to appear for the unlawful carrying of a concealed firearm.
Drug Arrest: On April 9 at around 2:19 a.m., officers responded to a call for service where a female was unconscious in a running vehicle on the 1400 block of East Main Street. When they arrived, officers contacted 35-year-old Tesla Stilwell of Vacaville. While determining there was no medical need, officers saw suspected narcotics and paraphernalia in plain view. During the investigation and search of the vehicle, officers located fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine. Stilwell was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for possession of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Homeless Outreach Street Team Weekly Report
HOST made 41 contacts and offered services to 36 individuals; 67 accepted services. HOST tagged five camps and cleaned up four. HOST conducted seven downtown patrols.
The community enhancement specialist completed a series of extensive cleanings and the collection of unsightly items at several bus stops within the City of Woodland. This initiative not only revitalized these key public areas but also significantly enhanced the overall appearance and cleanliness of our town. This will allow for continual support of the dedicated efforts of our transportation department.
