Now is the time.

That was the message from Colorado men’s basketball coach Tad Boyle following his team’s victory against Oregon on Thursday night.

The Colorado men’s basketball team didn’t encounter much resistance during its two-game homestand against the Oregon schools.

The Buffaloes made sure to take advantage of the opportunity.

The Buffs scored the game’s first seven points and never trailed, holding OSU to a .276 first-half shooting percentage (8-for-29) while building a 33-18 halftime lead. The Beavers briefly got within 14 points midway through the second half, but the Buffs held OSU to just four points over the next five and a half minutes to pull away.

Tristan da Silva put together another strong all-around game, going 7-for-10 with 17 points and five rebounds. CU featured a balanced attack behind da Silva, with J’Vonne Hadley finishing with nine points and Nique Clifford adding eight. After missing Thursday’s win against Oregon due to an illness, point guard KJ Simpson struggled with his shooting touch in his return to the lineup, going 1-for-8 with six points, but he contributed seven rebounds and matched a career-high with six assists.
