


Mill Valley’s Yuna McCormack was named on Wednesday to the first U.S. under-23 women’s national team training camp of 2025.
McCormack, a former Tam High standout who plays collegiately for Florida State, was one of six midfielders named to the 24-player roster. The camp is set to run from Monday until April 7 in Carson.
McCormack starred for the USWNT at the under-20 World Cup in Colombia last year. McCormack scored two goals and had a pair of assists at the tournament.
Boys golf
Low medalist Charlie Wilhelm shot a 2-under 34 at Peacock Gap on Thursday, despite the adverse weather conditions, to lead Marin Academy to a 148-157 victory over league rival University. The Wildcats’ Dylan Siegel came around at 36 and Charlie Hansen, Quinn Mcinerney and Drayson Jaffee each scored a 3-over 39 for Marin Academy (8-0, 6-0 BCL West).
Boys track
San Domenico junior Omar Williams, fresh off a deep playoff run with the basketball team, won both the 110 and 300 hurdles at the second Bay Counties League West meet of the season on Tuesday.
Williams outpaced the field by narrowly more than a second in both events as he won the 110 hurdles in 16.75 seconds and the 300 in 43.32 seconds at Kezar Stadium. San Domenico senior Devin Price placed fourth in the 800 meter event, missing a spot on the podium by less than a second with his time of 2 minutes, 3.46 seconds.
Marin Academy junior Max Dutro took second in the discus (98’10”) and fourth in the shot put (34’4”). San Domenico junior Ted Miller was fifth in the discus with a personal-best 87’3”. The Panthers’ Chidera Onyeukwu claimed a share of second place at 5’6” in a three-way tie during the high jump.
San Domenico placed fourth, with Marin Academy seventh, behind powerhouse winner University.
Girls track
Marin Academy athletes medaled in five events Tuesday in the second Bay Counties League West meet of the season, held at Kezar Stadium.
Marin Academy sophomore Tatum Colpitts finished second in the 400 in 1 minute, 3.12 seconds and was sixth in the 200 with a personal-best 28.05. Wildcats junior Luella Shepard set a PR in the 800 (2:29.75) to take third place. Shepard was fourth in the 1600 (5:37.15). Colpitts and Shepard teamed with Serena Payne and Alice Chuang to take second in the 4×400 relay (4:23.87).
Wildcats junior Gracie Bramble posted a PR of 15’6” to take second in the long jump, and was fourth in the triple jump (32’9.5”). Marin Academy senior Esme Morrison finished third in the high jump at 4’8”, just ahead of San Domenico sophomore Ripley Toquinto Tyson (4’6”), who placed fourth.
Wildcats freshman Luna Dana took sixth in the 100 (13.53), less than a second off the winning time.
San Domenico’s 4×800 relay quartet of Sarah Haskell, Tosia Konczak, Katherine Rogers and Paloma Strutz placed second in 10:44.35.
Marin Academy placed fifth, with San Domenico eighth, behind powerhouse winner University.
Prep badminton
San Domenico earned a solid 8-1 victory over Lick-Wilmerding on Tuesday.
