It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Loris Nelson, age 88, on December 16. She lives on in the hearts of her best friend Marie Wagner, the William Gravem family and other friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Albert and Hazel (Hegwall) Nelson and “brother” William Gravem.

She graduated from Johnson High School, Macalaster College and the University of Minnesota, with a Masters Degree in Social Work. She was professionally employed by Children’s Home Society of MN in St. Paul and the Saint Paul Public School Systems (Children’s Hospital St. Paul). Per her wishes no service will be held. Memorials preferred to your own charity of choice.
