Went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Mary was born September 4, 1938 in St. Paul, Minnesota the daughter of Leo and Dolores Finch. After high school she attended nursing school and became an LPN. On April 15, 1961 she was united in marriage with Victor at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in St. Paul. Mary spent many years as the school nurse at Grey Cloud Elementary in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. She loved working at the school and helping children, and was affectionately known around the community as "Nurse Mary". She was a very faithful woman and spent many hours volunteering her services at her church. Mary loved spending time with her family and treating them with homemade chocolate chip cookies. Loving mother of John, Lisa, and Leann; grandma of Zachary &amp; Derek Nelson; great-grandma of Malloryn &amp; Savannah; sister of Dolores Theuer and Nancy Finch; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; children, Lori Nelson, Joe, and Jim; parents, Leo and Dolores Finch; sisters, Priscilla Quaday and Caroline Finch. Special thank you to the staff at Norris Square and Optage Hospice for their loving care and compassion.<br><br>Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM, Friday, March 7, 2025, at Church of St. Rita, 8694 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN with burial at Resurrection Cemetery.<div></div><br>
