An Orland Park man is facing charges after allegedly injuring a police officer while in lockup, officials said.
Donald Tomiello, 51, was charged with one count of aggravated battery, two counts of resisting a peace officer and one count of disorderly conduct after an alleged disturbance June 26 at Buffalo Wild Wings, 15888 S. LaGrange Road, police said.
When Tomiello was brought to the police station’s jail in Orland Park, he allegedly took a “fighting stance,” officials said. An officer received multiple scratches to his arm while trying to detain Tomiello, officials said.
The officer was treated and released from a hospital.
Tomiello had been picked up by officers after he and Daniel Tomiello, 55, allegedly yelled at staff at Buffalo Wild Wings after they weren’t allowed more drinks because of the amount of beers they had consumed, police said.
Daniel Tomiello was charged with disorderly conduct, officials said. The eatery also was ticketed, police said.
