Abner Uribe retired Mookie Betts with the bases loaded for the final out and the visiting Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-5 on Sunday for their 10th straight victory.

Shohei Ohtani hit a two-run homer for the Dodgers, but Isaac Collins snapped a sixth-inning tie with a two-run single as the Brewers finished 6-0 this season against the defending World Series champions.

Los Angeles has dropped 10 of 12 overall. Its first baseman, Freddie Freeman, exited the game when he was in the left wrist by a Jose Quintana pitch in the sixth inning. An X-ray proved negative and he’s day to day.

Padres 8, Nationals 1: Xander Bogaerts hit a grand slam in the first inning, Elias Díaz also homered and visiting San Diego routed Washington.

Bogaerts hit the first pitch he saw from MacKenzie Gore (4-9) into the seats in left for his sixth homer of the season and eighth career grand slam.

Red Sox 6, Cubs 1: Wilyer Abreu homered twice and drove in three runs and visiting Boston beat Chicago to avoid a series sweep.

Alex Bregman also connected as the Red Sox rallied after managing just one run in their first two games after the All-Star break.

Mets 3, Reds 2: Juan Soto dashed home with the go-ahead run in the eighth inning, beating a throw to the plate on Luis Torrens’ sharp grounder to second base, and host New York avoided a three-game sweep with a win over Cincinnati.

Yankees 4, Braves 2: Aaron Judge hit his 36th home run of the season and tied Alex Rodriguez for sixth place in Yankees history as visiting New York defeated Atlanta.

Judge’s solo homer in the first inning was his 351st with the Yankees, matching A-Rod and behind Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio and Yogi Berra.

Guardians 8, Athletics 2: David Fry had a career-high four RBIs, Gavin Williams (6-4) struck out 11 and host Cleveland defeated the Athletics to take the weekend series. Nick Kurtz had a pair of doubles for the Athletics.

Angels 8, Phillies 2: Jose Soriano limited host Philadelphia to two runs in seven innings, Taylor Ward had a three-run double and Los Angeles beat the Phillies for a series victory. Soriano (7-7) allowed six hits and struck out five.

Diamondbacks 5, Cardinals 3: Eugenio Suárez homered twice for the second consecutive day and Merrill Kelly allowed two runs in six innings to help host Arizona beat the St. Louis.
